the best times to travel to sunny destinations

Israel sunindex: the best time to travel to Israel
Israel is located in the western part of Asia and borders Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and the Palestine Territories. The Dead Sea forms the natural border with several of these countries. In the western part of the country Israel is situated on the Mediterranean Sea and in the most southern part at the city of Eilat on the Gulf of Aqaba, which is an inlet of the Red Sea. Israel is not really known as a winter sun destination. However, the cities along the Gulf of Aqaba are very suitable as a winter sun destination although extremely high temperatures are uncommon here. The rest of the country is not suitable as a winter sun destination because temperatures are too low. If you travel to Israel solely for a beach holiday you would not do credit to the country.

Israel is known as the country of three religions: Jews, Christians and Muslims. This has always caused a lot of tension, but is also the reason for most people to visit the country. The many religious buildings are almost all Unesco preservation sites, have been very well preserved and attract many tourists every year. Most of these buildings can be found in the capital Jerusalem. You can also visit a Kibbutz. This is a collective community for working and living where the group feeling is very important. As a tourist you can visit these farms and when you get inspired you can even work in one for a short or a long period of time.
